Mt. GASSAN Ski Resort |
Mecca of summer skiing |
|
|

Because of Mt. GASSAN is a heavy snow area, the remaining snow slopes open
in April when other ski resorts are closed, and can enjoy skiing until
the snow melts. The large slopes with a sense of openness allow fully enjoy
the fun of summer skiing. It is characterized by "few trees",
so It's possible to enjoy a vast view while skiing or snowboarding. In
winter, there is a lot of snow and access to the ski resort is cut off,
so it is a rare ski resort that cannot be used in winter, which is the
main ski season. However, there is a lot of snowfall throughout the year,
and the snow remains firmly from spring to summer, so in summer, many people
from all over Japan gather here as a ski resort where can enjoy "summer
skiing". At the end of the season, people enjoy skiing and snowboarding
with short sleeves in the warm weather. |
